Since the King's time the castle has been loved and cared for through the centuries adn has a wealth of history having been owned by the Earles and Dukes of Dorset

There are many fine rooms with original beamed ceilings, wood panelling, 16th century furnitiure and tapestries depicting scenes from the period

The solid oak Elizabethan staircase is said to be one of the finest in existence

This is an historic building NOT a hotel. The accomodation is basic and does not have a quality rating

The venue has been chosen for its atmosphere and paranormal history NOT its standard of accomodation
